What measures should I take before and during the Zombie Apocalypse?

You should move to an inaccessible area (an island preferably) with long fields of vision. Stockpile as many non-perishable foods as possible. Never forget to store weapons/ammunition as well as the cliché chainsaw or axe. (and don't forget the gasoline!)

Once the logistics are done, you should booby-trap the area in which you live and ALWAYS have a secret underground escape route that leads to a motorboat (make sure to trip over something when the zombies are in pursuit to add dramatic affect- and also try not to be able to get the boat started until they are nearly upon you for even more added dramatic affect). And don't forget the high powered lights that will flood the area around you in case of attack.

Also, make sure that you live in a good hunting ground or a place with good soil or something so that you can continue to live there indefinitely (if you're so lucky to not be attacked ever).

You should probably also make sure to have a cynical/cowardly asshole that lives within your small community there so that when and if the zombies do attack- he'll be the first to die.

Of course you should also have a lab to search for a cure in the basement where you can keep a zombie that you have captured. Hopefully you can train or befriend this person, even though the asshole in you group won't like it that he's there and won't respect the zombie's humanity. (my guess is is that the zombie will eventually kill the asshole, but save you, unless of course you are the asshole).

Oh yeah, the virgin lives and the slut dies. (and you can choose to have the black guy/minority die first if you want to be in keeping with tradition in these types of situations)

1) keep yourself nice and dirty--zombies like the smell of zest fully clean skin....if you are covered in banana peels and flies you will blend right in

2) build a fort somewhere that zombies would look over. like a cake shop. they aren't interested in cake. just bloody human skulls.

3) once you have built a fort (preferrably out of cake pans and sheets) in the cake shop, stock up on cakes and muffins---you will get hungry eventually.

4) you need a diversion--take a corpse that has already been attacked and place them on your neighbors doorstep. the smell of blood will draw them to your neighbor...therefore diverting them from you and your cake.

5) if all else fails and you need a weapon for attack, i would suggest cornering them with a spatula and shoving them into the oven.

Make sure you have a good store of food in your basement. Make sure there are solid steel walls. Make sure you have a tv and some sort of power generator.
