infant innoculation?

Is there a pro and con as regarding the advisability of infant innoculation, or is this an issue beyond dispute? Problem: we live in Viet Nam: in the past half year, for whatever reason, there have been 9 infant deaths attributable to innoculations!

Watch out it seems like in Vietnam the strains they are using could be different then here/ see cheaper and more likely to only be an experiment careful if you have a doctor in the states and believe in inoculations then see if you can get some of our kind of vaccine shipped over to you.

You will find people who will argue both sides of the discussion. For the record, I agree with the need for innoculations. A life lost (or permanently altered), when it could have been prevented from an innoculation is a grave mistake that has been made many times.

I wonder though about those 9 deaths attributed to the innoculations. What was the actual cause of death ...

    - an allergic reaction (was good family history taken)

    - an infection at the injection site (what are innoculation practices where the innoculations were given)

    - issues with the serum itself (due to drug manufacturers mis-management of the production process... were the lot numbers of the innoculations given in the deaths the same)

Although it is tragic to lose a child, I think in order to compare fully the safety of the specific innoculations, you need to know the actual cause of death of each infant involved.

I'm afraid that the above people gave you the right answer Barry.

    Think about it?

9 deaths out of 1000's of inoculations that will save those lives.

It's sad to lose a child, a family member etc etc.

But( as someone already said) there's always risks.

Babies with very weak immune systems are the ones that are at the most risk (:-

There are always risks . The thing is that the diseases themselves can also cause death, or permanant serious health problems. All it would take for the current generation to realize just how valuable those immunizations are is an epidemic similar to the polio epidemic of 60 years ago.

odds of dying from the disease are higher than dying from the inoculation.
