Blurred Vision during PREGNANCY?!?! (14 wks)?

Hey,

My older sister is 14 weeks preggy and she just woke up from being asleep since dinner. Her vision is blurred past about 2 ft. She also says she is starting to get a headache. Could it be pre-eclampsia? She is 17 if that counts for anything.

Update:

Yeah... she has a dr. appointment tomorrow morning anyways so I'm sure we'll find out what it was for sure in the morning I just wanted to make sure!

To help you out. I just recently had a baby and did experience blurred vision in the final stages of pregnancy, in the same way. It is a symptom of preeclampsia, so she might want to get checked. But it may simply be, the baby is pushing on a vein, or she needs food/sugar. Sugar helped me. (Natural sugars, like oranges, bananas. . .)

It could be early signs of pre-eclampsia or just a vision problem. During pregnancy the eyes usually get a little worse. I had to have my prescription changed twice during my pregnancies then again after I had the babies because they would get so bad while pregnant. I would have her call the Dr and see what they say though just to be on the safe side.

Most womens vision gets worse when they are pregnant. I don't have that and my vision is a lot worse, but to be on the safe side have her bring this up at her next doctors visit.

Yes, it sounds like symptoms of pre-eclampsia. She should go to the er, or at least call the doc ASAP.
