I am a former chef and when I did my apprenticeship at George brown the campus was in the Kensingtom Market, I have alway really like the Golden Harvest on Dundas, it is upstairs near Huron, has 2 dragon sculptures at the door and someone is always sell chinese newspaper out front, the one on the corner of Spadina and Baldwin, it has changed hands so many times I could not tell you the exact name, and there is a small place on the east side of Spadina at the same intersection as the last one, up 4 doors from the corner, it usually has a sign on the front.
I enjoy all the dishes, my favs are the more traditional, chicken feet, tripe, squid, spare ribs, I do like the stuffed peppers and eggplants, Shu Mai, Har Gow and the chicken and peanut dumplings. I have had dim sum all over Canada and in Singapore and Japan and here they tend to be more to the real chinese flavour.

As for that place in Toronto, well maybe next time.
Haven't visited in a long while. But have had dim sum on the Canadian west coast and China.

Not sure what you mean by the covering or little bag but alot of dim sum are noodles wrapped around pork or other fillings and you eat the whole thing.
