Will the Raiders have a winning season while Al Davis is still alive??

I'm a die hard Raiders fan. I love the attitude Al built for the Raiders. However I think he is more of a hinderance than a positive influence now. Whats your feelings??

yes he is a hindrance to your organization...but he is the face!!! i would like to see him get at least one more good season in...im by no way shape or form a raiders fan (cowboys fan) but i have enough love and respect for this game to wish a pioneer of this league all the best!! I also would like to add that i love your comment about the raider nation and the attitude that exist there in Oakland because of AL...too bad that attitude has not carried over to the players..maybe that's the problem?

I know you hate me already and you dont know me

but i am A die hard Broncos fan and bleed orange through and through.

I will not let my alleigence to the Broncos and my hatred toward the Raiders bias my opinion though.

I feel that if they are its def not gonna be in the next two seasons maybe 3. My reason(s) being as follows.

1.Jamarcus Russell is going to need time to become acclamated to this level of play most QBs take 3-4 seasons to get in swing ex) Eli Manning, Phillip Rivers, even Peyton Manning had awful first couple years.

    2. They need a coach who will be around awhile to actually give them a chance and i have a feeling Lane Kiffin isnt the answer.

    3. Al is tying all this money up into players like Tommy Kelly who ever the hell that is and Javon (bring me my) Walker who has a horrible knees.

if its gonna happen it wont be in the next 2 thats a guarantee.

I love Al to death, but I think, as well as he must be thinking, that its time to let go. The game has changed sooo much over the years and the stress can't be good for his health either. I think the raiders can have a winning record, they have the talent to do it on the defensive end. However, they need to draft some serious offensive talent saturday, either McFadden who can step in and work a one two punch with fargas, or get some new blood on that O line, because it is horrible!

I would love to see it happen but with Al's age, at this point I have my doubts. I'm a die hard raider fan too. We are overdue for a good season.... I keep the faith that this next season will be a good one. We have no where to go but UP!

If Al could keep a coach for more than one season the raiders might win more games.

i think al davis is the reason the raiders havent had a winning season in years. hiring a competent coach would help as well. lane kiffin is certainly an upgrade from art shell (good guy, but his time was long over), so we'll see.

they should also drop that dead weight in their backfield consisting of lamont jordan and dominic rhodes

i'm also a die hard raider fan and i completely agree with you. i really don't think al is fit to run the raiders anymore. to be completely honest, i was amazed that they made it to super bowl 37. i have no idea how they made it that far with a quarterback like rich gannon who ended up setting the record for most interceptions thrown in one super bowl. i only hope that jamarcus russell (and hopefully darren mcfadden) can give us hope for the future.

Raiders fan I am. For the Raiders to win one of two things needs to happen, he sells the team or he croaks.

al davis is desperate to win now that's why he spent too much money getting free agents and knows at age 78 he doesn't have a lot of time to win another Superbowl so expect crazy years to come
