You should be given a customs form to fill out on the plane before you arrive. Once you clear US immigration, you will arrive at a baggage claim area where you will collect your bags. Exiting this area, you hand your customs form to the agent and if you have a connecting flight to somewhere else in the US, there is a place to re-check your bag. Just hand it to one of the baggage handlers, who will put it back on the luggage belt.

It's probably a good idea to know what the duty-free limits are on any products such as alcohol, tobacco, etc. that you will be bringing, so you will know whether you're subject to paying import duties on them. (1 liter alcholol, 200 cigarettes, 100 cigars)

If you are bringing in any food items, they may need to x-ray your bags. If you've been in direct contact with livestock or an agricultural environment, you may be asked about examining the soles of your shoes for dirt and soil. Note that there are many restrictions on importing agricultural products:

Additionally, there are many items that are restricted or prohibited from importing into the US:

Do not carry any ganja, or any other type of plants, or fruits. I have visitted your country many of times and went to school for a while in Mandeville. If you find yourself coming to Orlando, FL feel free to email me and I will gladly give you any information you may want about this area.
