Whats the best way for guys to lose their "spare tire"?
Summer's coming and it's so hard to get rid of that bulge that's starting to spill over the top of the jeans. I'm not expecting a six-pack immediately, but I would like some hints or secret routines that help strengthen abs. Diets, exercises, gadgets? Anything REALLY work?

If you have a bulge and I'm assuming it's fat, you need to clean up your diet and do cardio. none of the gadgets you see on tv work. You can't flatten your stomach by doing crunches. Crunches work the thin layer of muscle and they build it up. You can actually increase the size of your stomach by doing crunches. No stomach exercises will get rid of the fat. It's a chemical process, not an exercise issue.
The muscle you want to work on is your transverse abdominus which is deep under your "sixpack" . It is part of your core. here is an example of an easy exercise that will eventually result in pulling in your stomach

Exercise or no exercise you won't be able to lose the weight if you don't cut your food intake but we all know that's pretty hard, right? A good appetite suppressant can help you out big time but it has to be natural or you can get into serious heath problems.

First, eliminate carbs (bread, rice pasta, potatoes) and ALL fried foods. After you reach your goals, you can gradually reintroduce these in small quantities.
Second, break a sweat for at least 10 minutes every day.
Third, pick a section of your body to concentrate on each day for weight training, gradually increasing as you go; ie, Monday/Wednesday, arms, Tuesday/Thursday: abs and back, Friday/Sunday: legs. (take one day for rest from weights, not from cardio, though).
You can take each section to failure (maximum muscle breakdown/buildup) by starting the session heavy and then decreasing the weight while increasing the reps until you just can't lift another 20 pounds. This really works!!

It takes hard work, there is no "magic pill" that will make it happen in like a few days (saying that; if you ever see people advertising stuff like that don't listen, its just for those companies to make money). First off, you need a healthy diet, not much fat in the diet. You need cardio exercise (like jogging, skipping) every day for at least 20 minutes, and then you need the stomach exercises. Look up pilates on google, or this website for good abs exercises:
