Yes, definitely. It's going to be supported till 2014 anyway, and as you will have read in the article, MS have already extended the end date to June this year.

XP is easily the best OS that MS have ever produced, I run XP Professional on a 2.0Ghz AMD XP2600 with 1.5Gb RAM and it runs great so I've no plans to 'upgrade' to Vista myself.

Microsoft announced earlier this year that it would "support" XP with Security Fixes until 2014.

I believe the forthcoming Service Pack 3 will be the last major formal update though.

XP is going to be around for several years to come so don't be in a hurry to dismiss it.

Additionally, Microsoft is currently working on Windows 7 which will take the place of Vista in late 2009 according to a schedule they released internally last month.

    Hope this helps.

Absolutely, but the truth is Microsoft are planning to roll out Windows 7 in late 2009, so we'll have to hold our breath on how long they will support XP.

I want XP back i've been landed with vista and I find it has so many flaws to it. I loved XP and if my computer hadn't died I would still be using it

No because they are making vista better all the time. But just wait for windows 7 no one will be able to use it.

Yes! Vista sucks big ones. I'm not migrating to that restrictive piece of software ever.

    DRM? Yeah right.
