How many accidental black eyes have you suffered at the hand (or foot) of your toddler/s?

My wife never believed me when I told her how much a blow to the groin could hurt until she saw my daughter do it to me by accident once. I doubled over and had to lay on a park bench for like 5 minutes. However, I've never had a toddler-inflicted black eye.

Tons of bruises, no black eyes yet. Lots and lots of scratches. The worst has been the kicking. My 15 month old is in the stage of kicking when I change her diaper. A couple of times I have told her that she had better thank God that I am her mommy because I know people that would spank the tar out of her for it. She has gotten me in the face a few times...and she spent some time in time out for it.

I must say, I have had my share. I doubt there is a parent in the world that has not had at least a few. My son is now 3 1/2, and outgrowing these events. Its not his fault thou. Terrible twos, and growing result in bruises! Now, my trick to avoid shinners? When I see a possible accidental "bonk", I move back and reposition my son!

I may be cursed after answering this question...but none yet. Even tho my 2 yr old daughter is more rough and tumble than my 12 yr old stepson! :)

I do have a habit of jerking my face out of harms way tho, since I have had a jaw operation due to TMJ. I am a delicate flower in the hands of Peyton Manning.

Well lets see, i have gotten about 5 black eyes, a fractured nose a couple of times lol most of which was caused by the excited headbutts.

continually and that i'm so bored with it. no chatting, no swearing, no this no that and we don't even understand what this or that. suspension seems to be a gamble to maintain us in line. i don't understand why they don't basically provide up and enable QA basically be what that's and not what they are attempting to make it into. they'd desire to easily have yet another area for conservative, intense and elementary solutions and enable the sufferers run the ward right here.

My tot is 3 - lots of bruises, no black eyes.

My mother never had black eye just lots and lots of bruises .. it didn't help that she takes for ever to heal so she had them for months.

ha ha, too many to count! Not to mention bruises and scratches, lol!

The strange thing is, they are all worth it!
