I just bought an Ipod Shuffle...do I have to use itunes?

When I bought it, the cashier asked me if I needed any itunes cards because I can only use itunes to put songs on the ipod? Is that correct?

    Yes, you will have to use iTunes in order for you to download music, charge your iPod and such. Also, you need iTunes because with iTunes you can delete music off of your iPod so therefore you do need iTunes to put songs on your iPod.

    yes your ipod is only compatible with itunes so you can only use itunes

    that's not necessarily true. there are people who use limewire, which is illegal, or other music websites. honestly, i'd stick with iTunes, it's safe and legal.
