i need a low fat low carb low sugar recipe!?
I have a freind comming for dinner.
I'm vegetarian and she is on a low fat low carb low sugar diet.
I have no idea about how to feed her.
I have some chicken in the freezer she could have and i have tofu that i can have, So we could have that with vegetables.
What flavourings can i use? Herbs and spices and garlic should be OK right? What about soy sauce? i guess most other sauces are out, which ones can i use?
Can you suggest a low carb/fat/sugar recipe for the chicken?
Which vegtables are high carb?
thanks for your help!

dueling diets - one of the tough cooking challenges.
cauliflower, broccoli, eggplant, zucchini, and many more on the link.
Soy sauce is fine as are most seasonings. Just don't use sugar. There's plenty of room for you two to meet in good healthy natural foods. For sauces, look at the label and stick to things that only have a few carbs per serving.
The classic low carb high protein meal is a big fresh salad with grilled chicken on top.

My husband is diabetic. Carbs raise blood sugar, and that's why diabetics need to limit carbs...but, we found that tofu will LOWER blood sugar after a meal, so anyway you can incorporate tofu would be good for her! Any herbs, spice, garlic are absolutely perfect. If she also has high blood pressure, you might want to forget the soy sauce though.... The only veggies you'd have to watch would be winter (hard) squash, potatoes, rutabagas & turnips, peas, legumes. Anything green or leafy, carrots, onions, sprouts are fine; There are bunches of low carb/sugar salad dressings available and anything less than 3 sugar g on the label is fine. My husband's doctor recommended avocados in his diet too, so maybe you could add some to a salad. Unless she doesn't like tofu, whatever vegetable dish you make with the tofu should be fine:)... or maybe you could just season and broil/bake/BBQ the chicken and put it with HER veggies. We like to spray thick extra-firm tofu slice with olive oil PAM, sprinkle with oregano & garlic powder and BBQ on both sides until brown. It tastes a little like "fried mozzarella")... You can also buy sugar-free jello & pudding, and sugar-free Cool Whip (no carbs in any of those) and make parfaits for dessert .....

If you want to eat truly healthy, lose body fat consistently, normalize your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, prevent cancer, and even boost your brain health and energy levels, you may have heard all over the news that the Paleo Diet has been found to be one of the best methods of achieving all of these benefits compared to any other popular "fad" diets out there. Go here https://bitly.im/aMLKR
The truth is that the Paleo Diet will never be considered a fad because it's just simply the way that humans evolved to eat over approximately 2 million years. And eating in a similar fashion to our ancestors has been proven time and time again to offer amazing health benefits, including prevention of most diseases of civilization such as cancer, heart disease, alzheimers, and other chronic conditions that are mostly caused by poor diet and lifestyle. One of the biggest misunderstandings about the Paleo Diet is that it's a meat-eating diet, or a super low-carb diet. This is not true

Tropical Fruit Soup with Pineapple SalsaTry Cooking Light! If you don't have papaya, you can substitute mango or just use all pineapple for the salsa. You can find passionfruit nectar in the Latin-food sections of most large supermarkets. To prepare the soup, combine the yogurt and the next 4 ingredients (yogurt through salt) in a medium bowl, and stir well with a whisk. Cover and chill. Ladle the soup into shallow bowls, and top with the salsa. Sprinkle each serving with toasted coconut. Yield 4 servings (serving size: 1 cup soup, 1/4 cup salsa, and 1 tablespoon coconut) Nutritional Information CALORIES 264(15% from fat); FAT 4.3g (sat 3.2g,mono 0.7g,poly 0.1g); PROTEIN 8.8g; CHOLESTEROL 9mg; CALCIUM 301mg; SODIUM 204mg; FIBER 0.9g; IRON 0.4mg; CARBOHYDRATE 43.3g Cooking Light, AUGUST 2000 This sounds so great, I'm glad you asked this question so I could find this wonderful recipe!

First, if there's a break in the conversation, find a way to tell her she's got a weird diet. :)
Make a big salad with veggies like carrots and cucumber and then put chicken in hers and tofu in yours.
For the dressing, she's going to have to sacrifice the low fat part, because non-fat dressings have added sugar. But if you make a vinagrette with olive oil, wine vinegar and some spices, she's getting "good" fat, which she actually needs.
The obvious veggie to avoid is corn. You can make a nice veggie mixture with tomatoes, zucchini and onions but, again, you'd want to sprinkle the pan with a bit of olive or canola oil. If that puts her over the edge, you can steam asparagus and drizzle balsamic vinegar over it.
For dessert, non fat jello. You can provide a topping for yourself, but for her, if she uses low fat Dairy Whip, she'll get more sugar. If she uses full strength, she'll get more fat.
