For those who enlisted in the Army (Past and present) did you or do you regret your decision ?

If you are still active, has it been worth it? Would you do it over again?

If you have been out for a while-do you regret coming out or did you make the right choice for you?

What are some of your best and worst experiences about "the life"?

Thanks!

I spent 10 years on active duty for the Army and then the past 2 years in the national guard. I joined when I was 21 and single. I got married and had three kids.

I think it is one of the best choices that I ever made.

The good include decent pay and good benefits, college tuition is paid, 30 days vacation with pay. There is more but now on to the bad...the time away from your family and the fact it is a dangerous job.

I am finishing up college and then I will apply to go back on active duty for the retirement benefits.

I'm a vet. I only regret getting out when I did. But I was still young and stupid. But luckily I'm still under the age max to re-enlist. So I plan to re-enlist soon!!!!!!!!

My worst experience was my divorce while enlisted. But loved all the guys I served with.

The Army was the best thing I ever did!

Hell no. One of the smartest things I ever did, but I am still glad I got out when I did. Airborne life opens many doors that could never be opened otherwise, but, it takes a physical toll if you stay too long. Ask any hunchbacked 35 year old First Sargent that looks like he's 50.

Worst experience? Towed Parachutist 20 Feb 1986.

My only regret is not having the oppurtunity to serve more than 30 years on Active Duty.

How could I regret it? I get to serve my country AND serve with some of the bravest and finest men and women I have and probably ever will meet. It's an honor.

Not one bit. And would love to do it again.

Most of it was the best experience.
