What makes you dislike or hate a Baseball player?

They only time I hate a player is if they don't play the game the right way.

Mostly the team they play for, it is tough when a beloved player gets traded to a hated team, or a hated player becomes a star on my team, I have to change my opinions. Other reasons tend to be attitude and reputation, or if they say something derogatory about my team or my city, but I will never hate Joe Torre and Don Mattingly no matter what teams they may wind up on ever!

Hate is a very powerful word! I could never "hate" anyone. I'm just a fan of the game and I follow the Yankees. If Jeter did something terrible, I wouldn't hate him, I would just be very disappointed with him. Hell, I don't get paid by MLB so I really don't get super attached to any player or team. I just love baseball, period. It's the game that means more to me than any single entity. The ability to put everything into proper perspective is more important than anything else.

I don't hate anyone. I dislike players that are full of themselves and look at the fans as nothing more than a necessary evil. Guys like Barry Bonds and Curt Schilling are two that come to mind. It's all about them and no one else. Both are liars, cheats and hypocrites. Money has nothing to do with disliking either one of them. It's their personalities and their integrity of which they both have none.

They are others that fall into the same category but for now these two will do.

There is no definite reason to hate baseball players other than laziness, no respect for the fans/team, jealousy of a baseball player's wealth and celebrity, does not demonstrate what a team player needs to contribute and takes his celebrity status for granted and cares only for himself.

Like,I know Gary Sheffield is a very good ballplayer and power hitter,but seriously.The dude thought Joe Torre sat him out a game because he's black. I mean,that's just stupid to think.

and the football player Chad Johnson is the most ignorant football player I've ever seen.He thinks hes the best of all time and he has a big mouth.

and the NBA player Kobe Bryant of the Lakers is a very dominate player,but i hate him because he's annoying and is the most ignorant NBA player I've ever seen because he wanted to be traded out of LA and was whining a lot and I'm thinking "DUDE.YOUR HEAD COACH IS PHIL JACKSON THAT HAS 6 CHAMPIONSHIPS.THE LAKERS ARE FIRST IN THE STANDINGS.YOU KNOW EVERY SINGLE TEAM WANTS HIM AS THEIR COACH!!?SHUT UP AND STOP BEING A BIG BABY!!!"

I could care less about how much their making.I would never hate them because of that,unless if I feel that they aren't worth that much and they don't perform to expectations and ESPN is obsessed with them for nothing,then that gets annoying.Like Juan Pierre and Barry Zito,but no one's obsessed with them.They just suck and are being paid a lot.

I dislike players that are arrogant and think that they are the most important people on the planet. IT has nothing to do with the team they play for (any more..I used to hate all Yankees but, not any more).

Can't complain about their money and I don't dislike a player just for their team (especially with guys getting traded around so much these days). I can admit I'm jealous of their abilities without disliking them...unless it's as they are hitting a home run of my pitcher!

Never the money they make. For one, I'm a Yankee fan. I have NOO right to complain about a player's salary. Also, who cares? If someone once to pay them that much, why shouldn't they take it?

The number one player I dislike is Curt Schilling. And yes he plays for the Red Sox but I disliked him before that. It is solely because of his personality. The man just does not know how to shut up. No one cares what he thinks but he just loves to let us know anyway.
