Does the Supreme Court act as a trial court, an appellate court or both?

Any ideas where I can find the answer online?

It is an appellate court, that has the power to set precedent and, at times, legislate from the bench.

BOTH. You can find these answers DIRECTLY in the Constitution itself. Look to Article III. Anyone who tells you differently is WRONG.

In certain instances, the Supreme Court is the ONLY court with jurisdiction (for example, where Consuls are parties of the action in question). In most instances, however, the Supreme Court acts as an Appellate court.

They can conduct a trial. However, they are too busy imposing their sick lawyer tyranny on the nation.
