Nope of course not. It's not only about getting the best answer but sharing your knowledge with others which counts.

And if your answer helps them in some way or another, that should make you feel good, regardless of whether it gets voted as a best answer or not...

Nope, the asker expresses their opinion when they choose a 'best answer'. And personally, when I ask questions I am often torn between a few answers.

Only when I answer certain people's questions....and only because even if your answer is the best answer ever given in the entire span of history...they'll still give the best answer to their contact because to them this place is one big popularity contest.

i think of a few absurd, stupid questions pertaining to to right here get much extra solutions that some intense ones. i'd desire to observe that I even have been helped a number of cases at right here by utilising asking questions, I basically desire human beings would take it extra heavily at cases.
