Get used to Forte, he is your starter now and a damned good one. The guy is awesome. Didnt you guys also get Steltz the safety from LSU? He is an absolute beast. Better watch out, Louisiana boys are taking over the NFL :)

Henne? What, so that we can have another Orton? That doesn't make sense. Angelo was smart in saying that the right situation didn't present itself cause the QB class this year was nothing spectacular. The O-Line, on the other hand, was marquee. And we got Williams which allows Tait to take back his natural position at right tackle. Killed 2 birds with 1 stone and now the O-Line for the Bears is the best they've had since '05.

As for Forte, he's the ultimatum for Benson to step up his play. Even if Benson fails, Forte will be a significant upgrade from the Benson of 2007.

The thing that everyone underestimates is the O-Line. The level of protection is what makes the quarterbacks and runningbacks stand out. And right now, the Bears are in a good situation. Even Grossman can't mess up now with a fixed line, and that's saying ALOT.

I thought the Bears were smart in not taking Henne, as a Badger I've seen plenty of Michigan games, and i never really saw it with Henne. I didn't get to see Brohm play a lot, but I hear that he is an injury risk and a statue in the pocket. Not really sure why they passed on Woodson in the 6th round though! I think having a good offensive line and a good running game can mask a lot of the problems in the passing game. Neither Henne or Brohm are franchise qbs, so its probably best that they passed on both guys.

I am a Chicagoan and I LOVE all of our sports teams, especially the Bears. When they passed up on Brohm & Henne it made me mad but I love Rex Grossman & he has good upside and if he can stay healthy & stop being a headcase then he should be good so them skipping on a qb is still dumb but if Rex checks out & is the player that he was in those first 10 games when they went to the SB then WE should be fine. I like our draft, they really addressed their o-line needs, got more d-line players with some good upside, another WO and another TE which we don't really need bc we have Greg Olsen..but yeah, I think the Bears should be good this year with their already top 5 defense.

It wasnt wise and smart but still an ok move because both henne and brohm are great quarterbacks, but still have injury risk. Also because the bears just recently signed 2 good QB's in Nick Hill from SIU and Caleb Hanie from Colorado State. Nick Hill lead SIU to a strong season ranking in the top 5 in all Division II passing catigories and Caleb Hanie was a great QB in college ranking 19th this year in efficiency and throwing for 2455 yards this year. Forte wasnt a bad pick because he can score a lot of times and was number 2 in the nation at rushing (ask Southern Methodist, 342 yards rushing in a game with 4 touchdowns) overall i think the bears had a great free angency after the draft and an ok draft

The Bears should've taken Brohm or even Ainge down the line. Forte is definitely solid but I liked other backs still available. He should be more successful than Benson.

Yes, yes and yes. I think that the QB's in this years draft were BAD! Remember when Henne got benched for a Freshman? Forte is a STUD! And so is the WR from Vandy Bennet.

No, they need a new QB to give Rex and Kyle competition. They made the right pick in round 1, but in round 2 or later, the QB position needed to be addressed. A Cheaper QB such as Woodson, Brennan, or Booty would have been good, but not taking one at all was stupid.

Forte is a cheap, solid back. He is not one of the better ones, but he will be able to carry the ball and take the entire load off of Benson. Benson is good, but he needs a solid #2 in order to carry the team.

Forte is a going to be a beast. He played on a horrible Tulane squad, and teams stacked 8 and 9 in the box against them and he still got 2K yards and 20+ TDs.

Henne seemed like a good fit for the Bears O.

With no top notch competition, Grossman has it made. He needed to be "pushed" into getting better or step aside.
