Who has the better plan to turn around the economy?

Why?

Update:

wonders, what I am taking from your post is that Obama has no plan, but promises to look into it.

It depends on what you think is the fundamental source of weakness in our economy.

If you think the problem is "rich people don't have enough money in their pockets to invest" then the McCain plan works for you. McCain wants to cut taxes, but mostly for the wealthy. If you think the Iraq war is helping the economy (including the billions we spend there) then the McCain plan will work for you.

If you think the problem is "poor people are in too much debt and don't have enough money to spend on their mortgage, the government is in too much debt, banks have bad debts because the government hasn't regulated them enough, and all this bad debt is contributing to a lack of confidence in the US economy generally" then you obviously want Obama or Clinton. They plan to address the mortgage crisis more aggressively, lower taxes on households under 75k but raise them on households over 250k. They also plan to be more responsible than McCain, by saving money on the Iraq war and increasing taxes on the wealthy to pay for their programs, so they do not keep contributing to the national debt.

Obama does. He will be willing to talk to others before forming his plan and will be able to get advice from many experts. They may all give different viewpoints which will enable him to consider a multitude of ideas and to take the best from each one.

    Kaylee Shomo

  • I have a better plan!

    Raise taxes! That will help!

I also have a plan for lowering gas prices:

Raise the taxes for the oil companies!!

    Doesn't that help?

None of them do. None of them understands the economy and that is their downfall. It will be great when McCain fossilizes and his VP takes over.

    Me.

Reduce government regulations (to safety only) and taxes, eliminate all "incentives" and let the free market be free.
