My 2000 Toyota Van, 125K miles, is burning through oil like crazy. Piston rings?

There is no leak in my driveway. When I start up the car, I get billows of white/grey smoke. I've had oil changed, filter changed, engine degunked.

What's wrong and what will it cost????

Update:

My oil light keeps coming on, I have put in 9 quarts of oil this month, since the oil change at the shop./

Update 2:

I have no problem with the power of the engine - it gets up and goes as it always has.

It could be worn piston rings, bad valve stem seals, possible slight blown head gasket, worn cylinder walls, and/or your pcv system may be burning oil. It can cost anywhere from $100 (do it yourself) or the price of a new motor. It should definitely looked at by a professional. Right off the bat you're looking at a $60 diagnostic fee, plus parts and labor.

Could very well be the piston rings but you should be loosing some form of power if they were leaking. It could need a head gasket or two.
