1. gay

- means merriness or happiness. it's most probably used in old literatures. i don't think it's widely used this days.

2. GAY gay

- man who has deep attractions towards other man/men. this might go further to having sex with the same genders.

- usually gays are pretty NOT welcomed in the community. and sometimes they get sneered and teased at.

- men are not born gays. the feeling just develops - maybe due to some traumas etc. for example, a boy was abused by his mother, so he grew up hating women and seeks love and attention from men instead.

- it's not allowed in most major religions

Liking someone of the same gender. Otherwise, a term applied in as a stereotype to imply something is 'stupid.' It can therefore be 'insulting.' But it's been said so much...seriously...it's more annoying than anything to hear people say "that's gay." Oh, and the first meaning of this term was 'happy.' So people that are happy were also described as 'gay' back in the good ol' day...

Gay is a word. Gay is also a state of mind. for example if you are happy then you are very gay.

Someone who is gay is attracted to someone of there own gender. To be gay IS NOT a choice, and DOES NOT develop over one's lifespan. One is born gay, not made. Though traditionally gay applied only to men, many women also identify as gay. Being gay is not wrong, or a sin, or a crime. It simply means you love in a unique way.

Gay is when two people have feelings for each other even if they are the same sex. It means they don't see the opposite sex as attractive in anyway, shape, or form.
