Favorite concert?
I have two favorites. I saw Midnight Oil at the Spectrum in Philadelphia about 18 years ago with Hunters and Collectors, and I'd love to see that again. Tons of energy, and great music. We were also close enough to see the sweat flying off the lead singer's bald head.
I also saw Bruce Springsteen in Columbia, South Carolina about 5 years ago. I've seen Springsteen a few times, but usually the crowd is already into it, and he just does his regular thing. This was very different. The crowd was politely sitting for about half the concert, and Springsteen took it as a challenge to get people interested. By the end (about three hours total), the place was rocking and everyone was standing. It felt like the cult of Springsteen had just been initiated. (Maybe it had been.)

My favorites were the Guns N Roses /Metallica tour of 92 (I think it was 92). They were both on perfectly that night and each played an extended set. The whole thing was so awesome you couldn't stop rocking out at all until the very end. I've never been so exhausted and exhilarated at the same time!
The other was Page& Plant's first outting together following Bonham's death (RIP). It was surreal and but for the absence of Bonham, you could imagine the mighty Zeppelin was still before you making it's concert magic.
Two of the best ever!!

Led Zeppelin many many years ago in Detroit MI. The concert experience of a life time. I saw David Bowie in Kalamazoo MI. That man defined high energy. Much to my sorrow, I have never seen Bruce. The cult of Bruce, for me, started in 1972 when I first heard Born To Run : )

They are not my favorite band at all, but if you ever get a chance to see Limp Bizkit, you should go. I have seen them six times, and it is the best live show I have ever been to.
