I hate the weeds that grow up between the cracks in your sidewalk!!!
Hard to pull....what is an easy way to kill them?...and preferrably natural rather than chemicals...please!

It's great to hear and be reminded of eco friendly ways to make our yards and our earth a safer place to live. Actually, I have used salt water to kill weeds before and this works well………. Use these eco-friendly, health friendly tips to control weeds in
your garden without chemical herbicides that can cause serious health
problems.
Use this tried-and-true recipe for weeds growing in sidewalk cracks and
between bricks, not in the garden (the plants will be killed).
1 cup salt
teaspoon liquid detergent
1 gallon vinegar
Easy Directions
Combine the ingredients in a bucket. Stir to blend. Sprinkle over weeds.
Well I sure hope this will work for you my princess wish you luck. And Good evening to you my little sweetie xoxo

Weed killer is not environmentally chummy, waiting until it rains and pulling them out whilst the soil in between th cracks is the best time to completely destroy them.
Dry killer sand poured into the cracks will deter further eruptions but there is no given guarantee that some wont push through... re grouting is expensive but effective for large areas.

Salt may be natural but it is not organic and will poison the ground for many months.
Boiling water will not kill taprooted weeds like dandelions.
Use vinegar. Any kind it doesn't matter. It is just making the ground too acidic for anything to grow. You may have to use it more than once to finish them off especially if it rains after use.

I recommend Bob Flowerdew's wisdom to answer this,
He offers several ideas:
1) Keep on hacking the tops off, eventually they will run out of energy.
2) Regularly pour boiling water on them
3) Keep a sharpened kitchen knife and frequently dig out as much as you can.
If the weeds are annuals, you can compost them. If they are perennials (dock, dandelion etc) he recommends 'drowning ' them. Throw them into a waterbutt to rot down then use the liquid - diluted - as plant food

I've used salt on various occasions, but it's pretty hard to do in between cracks.
Never tried boiling water, but sounds like it could work
If you can't kill them you'll have to do it the hard way

Boiling water works well. Boil your teakettle and take it out and pour the hot hot water directly on the weeds. It will steam them like a vegetable and kill them.

If boiling water doesn't work try salt. It's inexpensive and plants generally don't like it.... Just don't get it close to something you want to save. Bleach also works but it's a bit more toxic of course.
