Can I add more computers to a linksys router?

My computer is using a cable modem, a linksys wireless g adapter and a Linksys router (wrt54g). My brother wants to use the same connection for his laptop but we can't connect it. He's using a verizon adapter (don't use it) which shows sometimes the connection and the network connection in the taskbar says that another application is being using for wireless connection.
My other brother didn't have any problem with his mac.

The Verizon Adapter has a utility to set it up. If you find and run it you can get it to connect.

Yes - disable the wireless connection on your brothers laptop and make sure you have a good cable, and good connections on both ends.

run the application that configures his verizon adapter. mac has nothing to do with it.
