The total maximum score on calculus exam was 100 points. the mean score was 74 and the standard deviation was 11. Assume the scores are normally distributed. Determine the maximumscore of the highest 10% of the class.

The highest 10% of the class will go all the way up to 100% since that is your maximum value and the normal approximation curve techincally never ends. So, the maximum socre of the highest 10% of all socres in the class is a 100% score. (quite simple if you think about it)

1.28 standard deviations is the 90 percentile. So the minimum score one needs to be in that elite group is 74 + 11*1.28 = 88.1%
You asked what is the Maximum score. That really could be 100%, since that score although unlikely is possible.
