DNC sues McCain. Will he be in jail for the Republican National Convention?

It seems he broke his own campaign finance reform law http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/04/14/dnc.mccain/ (McCain-Feingold) and the Democratic National Committee wants blood. He either will lose ALOT of delegates, or goto jail.

I dont think myself he will goto jail, he will lose delegates though.

Uh... you don't go to jail if you lose a lawsuit.

    You don't lose delegates either.

I do think it's interesting that McCain has flip-flopped yet again on his own legislation. First it was immigration, now it's campaign finance.

He regularly enters rallies to the song of Van Halen's "in the present day", which has an really dramatic establishing and lyrics that in good structure properly with a political campaign. If i'm not flawed, McCain is using a similar lead advance guy (who chooses the song) he utilized in 2000, who via the way is worry-free in political circles for having been the guy who instructed Dan Quayle to misspell "potato".

Did you even read the article??? I guess not. They filed a LAWSUIT against the FEC not McCain! I know semantics and reality are such hard concepts for liberals to stomach.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The Democratic Party on Monday filed a lawsuit against the Federal Elections Commission seeking to force the group to investigate whether Sen. John McCain has violated federal spending limits for his primary campaign.

I would say that after the investigation if it EVEN happens finds collusion or merit, then we can talk about it... Until then, it is typical Demo-Crapper propaganda and a smear tactic..

Wow, the DNC had time to get off the Hillary-Obama fight for 20 seconds... I'm surprised!

To answer the original question: no, McCain won't be in jail. At the most, he will be fined or constrained in such a way which will already hamper his weak campaign, making it easier for the eventual Democratic nominee to walk to victory.

For those of you blaming the Democratic Party for suing over this mess, Senator McCain is breaking a law of which he is co-author, which takes a substantial amount of chutzpah and hypocrisy.

ya, its like Bush swore an oath to uphold and defend the constitution of The United States of America, then he turns around and calls it just a piece of God*amn paper~!!!

then he starts taking away our constitutional rights~!!!

that alone should be enough for impeachment, along with Cheney~!!!

id like to see one of em be held accountable for the rules they break, might as well be McCain, especially since he helped write and pass the law~!!!

It'll be amusing when his candidacy is negated in the states he used federal matching funds to get on the ballot in. Oh wait...according to Howard Dean that'd be all of them. Oh well, so much for candidate John McCain's run for the nomination...

Wouldn't it be cool if they could decorate his cell like when he was in the Viet Cong POW camp in the sixties? I mean really.

Nah, he won't go to jail, nor lose delegates.

    Get a grip, please.
