How can we as citizens cut back on traveling? Along with these high gas prices?

Everybody has to work, in order to get back and forth to work, how can we save money. Not many cities have bus transports or car pools. Should we just try to sell our homes( though the economy is bad) and have enough money to buy or rent something closer to work or what?

I know I'm tired of paying these rediculous prices for gasoline. Everybody needs to stop buying from Mobil, Exxon, & Shell. These are the gas companies who are making a fortune off of us.

where else can we buy gas? even if you go to a no name gas station (there are thousands aroung here in florida ran by habbibis) they all still get gas from one of the major three oil companies...and one way to cut down on everything is to do it all in one trip. if you are out, get everything done that you have to for the day so you dont have to leave again once you get home. I live about 20 miles from my job, but it takes about 40 to 50 minutes to get to work, so I leave early, and sometimes early enough to run errands, etc. I eat at work so I dont have to drive anywhere on lunch, I try to save all the big errand to run for one day of the week. good luck selling a home though. that;s gunna be tough.

I would say the easiest way to cut back on driving is to simply not put the ignition key in your vehicle and not start it.

    Just say NO.
