Do any pug dog owners have dogs that lick and lick you. How do you get them to stop?

She is two years old. She licks my face, my cheeks, my neck and then my arms. How do you get them to stop.

    <~~~We have two Pugs ... I think your Pug just wants to love and kiss you a bit. Ours would try to lick us to death but I'd just pull away and say "uh uh". Then they'd lick the leather chair ... so I'd move my arm over the place they were licking and say "uh uh". They finally got the message to stop when I'd say that ... but it seems like they forget. When they get in my lap they want to lick ... so I pull away and go through the whole thing again. I think they just want to kiss kiss and love a bit. We call it "getting Pugged" because we think they're so happy to see us!!! =}

    Mine are trained to obay the command "enough." They know it means to stop whatever they are doing. I started this training from the day they came old. It's not too late to start for you. Just keep at it. They soon catch on if you are consistant. I have one of the worst breeds for licking (Chihuahua's) They know when I say enough it is enough and back off.

    i have this problem with my papillon.

    i tell her no lick and put her away from me. she will quit licking.

    but i take her out and when i tell her no lick the people say oh it's ok. so she's still licking but only 18 months.

    I never had that problem with my pug. i guess when she goes to do it just move her away and say no , and then if she does what she is told give her a little treat.

    It's quite simple, just push her off you and say firmly "No." and it may take a while, but with consistency she'll catch on.
