Why are Americans rude?
I am English and I was recently digusted when I went to USA on business. One night I was unable to find a decent restaurant and to save time decided to have a McDonalds. As I entered the restaurant , I approached the Order counter and placed an order for a Big Mac and large fries.Imagine my horror as I recieved a box with my Big Mac in and a smaller open box for my fries. In England they are served on china plates, but I didnt blow my top at this point. As I sat at the table, I searched for a knife and fork, but again I was disappointed. As I looked around the restuarant I noticed all the American people were eating their burgers with their hands. How rude?

Fries, old chap? Fries? What in the world are fries? Am I to assume you are referring to that staple diet of the working class, chips? If so, then say it, man. Use English and not French, damn it.
And as for expecting china plates and cutlery, well dear boy, don't you know that in the colonies they are still eating with their bare hands? It's true, I swear. My man Jeeves told me that he had seen it on the television, or telly, as he so rudely put it. And as for "burgers", well, indeed! What did you expect. It is nothing but recycled human waste.
Wouldn't surprise me if we don't see some of these "restaurants" (huh!) over here jolly soon. My God, I don't know what the Empire is coming to, I really don't.

The less work one has to put into eating the better. So the American people think. On a similar note, I saw on Yahoo! News a couple of students from India who are writing about the differences about high school in India as compared to America. They were required to take 5 years of Physics. Most high school seniors in America cannot identify a picture of Adolf Hitler, understand 8th grade basic math, or find the United States on a globe.

You have been in long island you bloody asshole! How dare YOU be so impolite to to throw something human beings into THAT type! and have you ever heard the asserting while in Rome ....blah blah...? nicely it is going for the U. S. too (and everywhere else). you will assume some NYC Budweiser eating asshole to drink your lager in the event that they have been in London does not you? in case you prefer English lager stay in England. Or ask somebody who does not drink Bud (like me) the place to get it; reason i'm extreme-high quality and could have the two advised you the place to get one, or perhaps accompany you for one and pay for it too. that's the way we handle human beings the place I stay interior america of a. while i grew to become into in London I particularly do no longer bear in mind all and sundry being overly open and lengthening any greater suitable kindness (different than for the bartender at my inn). yet i do no longer generalize that to all and sundry interior the entire u . s . a .. guy, what's it with you lumping an entire counties "rudeness" right into a judgment like that? Geesh!

first off it is our way of life and what we do is not really considered rude. there are things in other cultures that we americans may find very offensive. you have to realize that you are in a country and everyone there may not be accustomed to the same things you are. while china is nice it is not practical for a busy mcdonalds. stuff may get broken and also the price of the china is far more expensive than the boxes. plus mcdonalds is fast food it is faster to put the food in boxes than a platter.

L.O.L!!!! Are you serious? You have got to be joking!! A hamburger is what you call finger food, meaning.....you don't need a knife & fork!! Being that us Americans invented hamburgers, we can decide how to eat them. Thats like telling an Asian person they are crazy for using chopsticks instead of a fork.

The only diff I noticed in some Countries is that they sell alcohol in some McDonalds overseas. I wish they did here too b/c that would make me eat there more. Right now I eat there like once every 6 months...

thats how americans are its not rude, since when do you go to another country and expect them to have the same customs as you?? if you dont like it then dont come to america anymore and if some reason you decide to come back bring a china plate, knives and forks with you

Yep..... us rude Americans eat with are hands! You should see how my Cuban Relatives eat! Who easts a burger with a knife and fork?!? Also, in the USA we do not consider aMc Donalds a resturant... more like fast food. You should have found a Ruby Tuesdays they would have had everything you needed
