What kind of doctor would handle scapula (shoulder blade) problems?
My regular doctor referred me to a specialist for my shoulder blade pain, but I can't remember the name of the specialty. I'm pretty sure it wasn't an orthopedist. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
It also isn't a chiropractor, I've already been to one and he wasn't much help.
It also isn't a physical therapist, I just got done with a month of physical therapy.

Actually an orthopedic doctor is the best specialist to deal with shoulder problems.
As someone stated before me you may have been referred to a Rheumatologist, though they specialize in arthritis and those types of things. Or could it have been a neurologist?
I'm sorry that's all I can think of right now. I hope this helps!

An orthopedist does specialize in problems with the shoulder and shoulder area...you need to find one that specializes in this particular area. I don't know of any other doctor that would specialize in this part of the body.
If it's disc problems causing the shoulder blade problem, then you would want to see a neurosurgeon.

I surely have a dreamcatcher approximately 5 inches and 3 inches great on my appropriate shoulder blade and to me it didnt injury to risky. Itfelt like aled pencile running during my epidermis. the main suitable time that it injury is together as my artist gained closer to the better end of my shoulder bone and next to my arm pit and thats it the rest wasnt that risky besides the undeniable fact that it was merely slightly bit decomforting it wasnt that risky. wish i helped! :)

They usually refer you to Orthopaedic Specialist but he may have thought it related to arthritis and then he would have referred you to a rheumatologist. Many time you are referred on to a physical/physiotherapist.
