What is the record number of goals in a season without penalties or free kicks in any of the goals?

I am not using this as a Manchester United v Liverpool debate, but, someone did point out to me that Fernando Torres 30 goals this season does not include any penalties or any free-kicks!  Does anyone know of anyone else who has scored this many and not had penalties or free kicks?

How many of Cristiano Ronaldo's 30-plus goals have been in open play for example?

i do not think andy cole took penalties or free kicks when he scored 41 goals in a season for newcastle and mr google agrees with me...lol

Yeah. torres would of gotten atleast 10 more goals and apart from this torres could have easily gotten way more goals if our midfield was efficient, coz if u look at his goals, they are really hard and not clear oppurtunities to score and YET HE MANAGES TO GET 20+ goals a season. IF we get a classy midfielder in i think torres can easily have ALOT of goals Rooney and the rest get easy goals and are helped frm their midfield, so that culd be a reason aswell? so yeah if u combine it with penalties, he would be a top scorer in no time (if he stays fit)
