  • Catering for a finger buffet 90 people...?

I have got 3 choices of menus and I know what menu I want... Have been told to cater for 2/3 of the guests as a rule of thumb. Which is fine... But, what age would you class children as for catering purposes?

Children like "picking" at buffets at a party, but, I assume, they eat less than adults... So, would I class an 11-year old, for example, as an adult, but a 7 year old "not an adult"?

Hope this makes sense! Might make the difference between say, ordering 60 "portions" rathan than 65, and all savings mount up on a tight budget!

  • We are moving from Northern Ireland to England and taking our cars with us but need help with the V5C!?

The car has my father-in-law as registered keeper, with a Northern Ireland address and we know already he cannot be registered keeper with an England address. So, we know we need to change the keeper to my wife. So, do we change the address for my wife to our Northern Ireland address and then export the car? (We move this Friday and can't wait for the form to come back with her new address on and then export it) Or, do we put our English address on when we change the keeper and export the car at the same time? Anyone from the DVLA or DVLNI can help! Or any motor trader out there who has exported and imported cars between GB and NI? Thanks! We will ring the DVLNI tomorrow morning but any answer tonight would allow us to sleep a bit better and stop stressing!!

  • Which PLAYER has scored the most goals in an FA Cup season?

Can anyone answer - either in the Competition proper (Round 1 to the Final) or from non-league preliminary rounds onwards.

The reason I ask, Chasetown striker Dean Perrow struck a hat-trick in the Preliminary Round and a 4-goal haul in the Qualifying Round today. What is his target? 7 so far...

  • My Vauxhall Astra 1.6 Automatic 2002 cuts out?

It cut out a few times over Christmas - the Electricity Warning light comes on and the car stops. It re-starts fine and away I drive. And it normally cuts out at junctions and at times when slowing down.

I took it to a mechanic and he suggested "dirty fuel". That didn't solve it.

I took it to Vauxhall and they changed the valve that controls the car when the car is idling.

That seemed to solve the problem.

Recently, it has cut out twice again. I took it back to Vauxhall and they ran it on the computer, took for a test drive and said there is no fault. It cut out again today, as I was braking on a bend. Any ideas people? I have no confidence at all in my car now. When the engine cuts out, obviously the power steering and ABS also goes, making the car dangerous to both me and anyone following me.

I have tried googling the question and have lots of information that I don't understand, but may print off and take to Vauxhall dealer. Can anyone help in laymen's terms?

  • In tonight's Euro 2008 game, the stats said Turkey 9 shots, 8 on target... yet they had hit the bar twice...

Surely hitting the bar is "off target"?

Can anyone explain why these are counted as "on target"?

  • Why is Colin Kazim-Richards called Kazim Kazim?

I have read his Wikipedia page which explains why he is called Kazim-Richards (and not Colin-Kazim as intended by his parents) but why do the Turks call him "Kazim Kazim" on his Turkey shirt?

Additionally, I have read some people say he is the only English born player in the tournament (on this site). This is incorrect because Simone Perrotta was born in Ashton-under-Lyme, Manchester.

  • Why is the Go West album "Aces and Kings" so called?

Is it because of "The King of Wishful Thinking" and "The King is Dead" and the "Don't Look Down" lyric "You know you're holding aces"

Or is it because they like the card game?

  • What is the record number of goals in a season without penalties or free kicks in any of the goals?

I am not using this as a Manchester United v Liverpool debate, but, someone did point out to me that Fernando Torres 30 goals this season does not include any penalties or any free-kicks! Does anyone know of anyone else who has scored this many and not had penalties or free kicks?

How many of Cristiano Ronaldo's 30-plus goals have been in open play for example?

  • Rafa's close signing? Any ideas?

The Liverpool website says that Rafa is close to signing a senior player for next season, who quote-unquote "talks good English, but is not English."

Are we thinking Scottish? Northern Irish? Welsh? Let's speculate....

  • Why have Liverpool appealed against Mascherano's ban?

They have then said they don't want to defer the extra two-game ban until after he has appealed. So, he misses tomorrow's game anyway and will only "gain" one game back if his appeal is heard before the following weekend's game?

Is it worth it for just one game "gain"?

  • Has anyone else ever been this lucky following a team to Wembley?

We had a guy on the Chasetown FC forum who went to watch his local team, Nuneaton Griff, at the start of the FA Cup. They were knocked out by Rainworth, so he carried on watching Rainworth, who won 3 matches. My team, Chasetown then knocked out Rainworth and won 4 ties until they were knocked out by Cardiff City. Sunday's semi-finalists.

    http://www.chasetownfc.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t...

Has anyone else got a story to tell from supporting a team from the very start of the FA Cup (I don't mean Round 3!!)

Interestingly, Chasetown FC play another part at Sunday's semi, Referee Alan Wiley is one of our regular supporters.

  • Should your club's website report all your club's news?

Interestingly, Liverpool FC website doesn't mention Jamie Carragher's arrest and caution. Yet, it was quick to mention all their players getting burgled... should a club's website report all news relating to their players. Surely, a good website should report all news within the club and fans' interest? Or should they only report football related matters?
