No not at all. We must not deify Mary for she is a person just like us. She had other children after Jesus was born and died like everyone else. If you do deify her like the Catholics do then you blaspheme the Holy Spirit.

Only God answers our prayers and He only hears the prayer of a righteous man. He will not pay any attention to you if you believe in Him incorrectly and if you still have sin, even though you believe in Him.

What she does, is contains your prayers to GOD by intercession. for people who do no longer discover validity in intercessory prayers, please turn your Bibles to the e book of revelations, wherein we see an angel coming near the altar, bearing incense and the prayer of the Saints. If Saints are already lifeless, then they are up in heaven with GOD and no longer choose prayers. So this could then depict the shown fact that they are carrying the prayers of people who're alive in the international, extra exhibiting that intercessory prayers are valid and substantial to us all.

Mary was a sinful person just like the rest of us. She is not holy so NO! She doesnt even hear the prayers.

She doesn’t answer prayers, and she doesn’t pass them on to God. To be honest, God never even needed Mary. He could have brought Jesus a different way. Mary was as low as that fat guy who you see every Monday working at McDonalds. She was nothing special, therefor, she wasn’t needed but God chose her anyway. God doesn’t need her to send him his children’s prayers. Is he too busy for us himself? No, he wants to hear from us directly. Mary was as simple as your neighbor next door. He only used her to bring the main character into the story…Jesus. What can wash away my sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. What can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

No, the Virgin Mary does not answer prayers. She does pray to our Lord on our behalf, just as your family and friends pray for you.

And as Mary is Jesus's Mother and one of the commandments is "Honor thy Father and Mother" I believe that Jesus might listen to Mary with more attention than someone else. :)

Ditto to JBN, Ray M, and Jenny Kim. Mary is the most powerful intercessor for us. God performs miracles on behalf of those with great faith. In numerous accounts in the Bible, Jesus, healed and performed other miracles on people because of the prayers (petitions) of third parties who had faith in him (e.g., the centurion, Lazarus' (sister?), etc.), and Mary has more faith than any of us. Plus she's his mother, whom he honors...he wasn't even intending to turn water into wine until hs mother asked/told him to help. If you don't ask for Mary's help and try to grow close to her, you are missing out on the short path to Christ. She will definitely help you grow in love and faith, etc. Admittedly she might only pray for us, but her prayers on our behalf are as good as answered, due to her proximity to Jesus. I love her! YES she does. In 2003 I couldn't get pg I had a misscarige in 10/02 so in april while at a church in Denver called La Virgen De Guadalupe I prayed to her begging for her to give us a Son and 3 Weeks later i found out i was PG !!!!! Gabriel was born 01/20/04!!!

God Answers prayers, but, the Virgin Mary & all the Saints bring prayers to God, & pray to God on all our behalves.

It is not written anywhere in the Bible that she does, however it is written to pray to the Father in Jesus Name. No where is it written to pray to Saints or Angels. Mary is most blessed of the Saints and is to be respected , but not worshiped or prayed to.
