Above and beyond your regular job.

Update:

Apithetic...I work two jobs and freelance perhaps you are in need of an upgrade in motivation and attitude. :)

Update 2:

your pay may stay the same but how can you be blind to the higher cost of everything around you....eggs are like 3.50 and don't even go there for what cereal goes for ...come on you can't be that blind to the higher costs of living....

We've gone green. We use energy bulbs from G.E. and have already noticed a drop in our power bill. We cut showers and baths back to a time limit, so no more long, relaxing showers for me, just in and out. We also walk alot of places, as we live close to everything we need. However, this recession has almost killed our personal tiling business. We haven't gotten a new contract in over 2 months.

If we were in a recession, which we are not, even with this horrible economy, the only thing that is really killing us is the gas..We have two paid off cars, and one does not work..That one needs some minor fixing because it's a geo metro and gets 40 miles to the gallon..So, that will fix us...Other than that, with groceries on the rise, just trying to shop more sales and not buy stuff that we dont need.

    Absolutely nothing.

Money was tight before it's just getting tighter.

My hours have been cut in about half. And everyone thinks I have it made! I work for the federal government.

I was doing everything I could do to stretch the money before.

My mom has offered to change her work schedule so I don't have to pay for a babysitter this summer. So I guess that's what I'm going to do to save money.

um, nothing. My salary didn't go down because of the recession. Only change recently is the rising gas prices, but my car gets 30mpg so I'm not too worried about that. Yet

What are you doing? Baby sitting or something? I lost my job due to the recession. The recession isn't all about people and the high mortgage rates they couldn't afford. Many, many people are losing their jobs and not finding new ones.

Being miserable rather than going on a week long vacation!
