  • Any Bears fans agree with me?

If Favre wants to come out of retirement, I think we should trade our entire QB corps for him.

  • Boston Fans, are you ready to embrace Drew yet?

With the way J.D. has been performing during Ortiz's abscence, just wondering how many Sox fans have changed their minds about him?

  • Traffic between Harpersville and Birmingham, Alabama?

I've applied for a job in Birmingham AL (on Cahaba Valley RD) and was looking for houses. I found one in Harpersville. What would the commute be like timewise?

  • Has anyone heard any rumors or rumblings about Shaun Alexander?

Any teams interested in him? Has he talked about whether he wants to play or retire? I've heard zip since the initial announcement that the Seahawks cut him.

  • How can you vote for him when he has a middle name like?

Sidney? Come on do we really want some guy with a girly name like that for president?

  • Are 99% of dentists frauds?

or is it just 99% of them? I have had several incidents over the last several years that really make me think it is about 99% of them.

e.g. Go to one dentist for a long time and never need any work. He gets a nice new office and all of a sudden, I need lots of work.

Go to one dentist and they say I need a bunch of work, go to another and they say I need nothing.

Someone I know went to a dentist and were told they had 4 cavities. He had three of them filled, but never made the appointment for the fourth. Went back to the SAME dentist a year later for a checkup and the dentist said he had no problems. I guess the tooth just healed itself.

    Anybody else have similar experiences?

  • Shouldn't you have to win a game..?

or at least score a goal to make the playoffs in the NHL? A team could never score a goal, lose every game in overtime and still end up with 82 points and potentially make the playoffs? Does that seem right?

In case you're wondering: the lowest point total to make the playoffs in the last 8 years is the 01-02 Islanders who made it to the playoffs with 83 points.

  • School photos?

    Ok, here's the situation

    1) 5 year old daughter goes to public school(kindergarten)

    2) With no consent, signed or otherwise, has her school

    picture taken

    3) We do not pre-order, pay or anything in advance

    4) Photo company sends complete packet of already printed

photos/photo "stuff" (eg key chains and bookmarks with her

photo on them) with price list and instructions to either A)

keep/pay for what you want or B) return the rest.

    Question:

Am I legally obligated to do either A or B, or can I just

keep the stuff or throw it away? How about ethically?

The reason I ask is because they sent this home by giving

it to my 5-year old daughter, so that she would see it and

want the photos/stuff before we even had a chance to look

at it. This is basically emotional

extortion. They could have just sent one proof. It is analagous to the guy who washes your

winshield while you are stopped at a red light and then

    wants payment.

    Thoughts?

  • For all the atheists who attack Christianity as "illogical"?

Ok. I have seen it often recently that the belief that God always existed is illogical and impossible.

If God does not exist, then one of two other situations must be the case:

    1) All the matter in the universe has always existed. How is this any more logical or possible than God existing?

    or

    2) All the matter in the universe didn't exist one second, and then, with no cause, did the next second. How is this any more logical or possible then God always existing?

  • Why doesn't hockey get rid of the stupid point system and just go with W-L record?

I think it would make it a lot easier to attract new fans if they didn't go "What the hell does that mean?" when they look at the standings and see that their team is 7 points behind or 3 points ahead in the standings.

  • Need safety info for rear-facing third seat in station wagon?

Can anybody point me to documentation on safety of putting children in the rear-facing third seat of a station-wagon. Opinions are welcome, but what I really is hard info from a known and reliable source.
