Do you remember?

Oh yes, and neck scarves, the little clips on a short chain you wore on your sweater, poodle skirts, flats you wore with no socks or nylons. And the really in look, a man's white shirt, not tucked in and the collar up with jeans rolled up to the knee. We thought we looked so cool.

I remember penny loafers. While I was aware of those wearing a sweater backwards, I did not get to enjoy this fashion. Angora around a ring? That is new to me.

Oh My Gosh! yes I remember, The shiny new penny we would put in the shoes and the sweaters put on backwards and button , also the angora around the ring, for those lucky enough to have their boy friends ring.Those were the days.

Yeppers, in the 50"s. Those were the good ole days for me. When you were going " steady" you had to wrap something around the ring, since the guys fingers were so much bigger. We used the white medical tape and then colored it. It was called 'dope' then. It was the airplane paint. Every day I'd paint my ring to atch my outfit. When it got so big that it was a nuisence, I'd tear the tape off and stat over. Of course, most of the time my "steady" went before the ring got too big.LOL A few times my steady lasted a long time and I'd have to change it often. HA This was in the mid-west.

flat soled Levis track shoes,itchy unlined polyester track suits,

hoodies,the zipper always shrunk,and you were supposed to only wear it tied to your waist,and of course the jeans overalls.
