Who really cares if Barbara Walters had an affair with a married senator years ago?

no one does. Except the news people.

Me, I care. (Now, to answer why would I, or should I?) I'd ask why this is coming out now, if I didn't suspect that its because she was talking to a Black Woman in Oprah, and a Black Man is running for the White House.. and Barbara wants people to know that she already bedded a prominent Black Man, long before Obama was on the radar (or even in 7th grade). I think people, when they age and were ALL about being on TV start to talk about their past FOR more media attention... like a real-life "Sunset Boulevard" turn, or when old actors start Kiss & Tell books, to recoup some profits leading into their retirement. Or, when they want to APPEAR HIP again, to younger audiences -- like, when I caught Barbra Steisand saying she had something in common with then, redhot Eminem being raised in the inner-city ghetto.. because she was "raised in Brooklyn".. sure, Babra.

Barbara W. made her career as a celebrity, light news sort of TV magazine 'journalist'. And I always wondered if she was dipping into the subject matter.. when she was inter-wiewing the pweople.. in a way that led SNL to immortalize her with their 70's "Babwa Wa-Wa" impersonation. She's the matriarch of "The View" these days, but just as a Sharon Stone didn't get to the top by her acting chops alone, and countless others/bios from Mary Wells Greene etc.. I think we're missing HISTORY if it isn't pointed out, that some women used more than smarts & right time, right place, along the way. (Unless we want to stay misinformed, and say "lala-lala-lala" when it comes to the story of some people's rise to the top?)

It is not necessary to pay attention to the past and Barbara.
