Spiritually Speaking...One Day At A Time...?
So, I'm walking through the mall and I'm tired and my feet hurt...but tomorrow is my daughter's birthday, and I know that she expects everything to be perfect.
My mind is going a mile a minute...from everything to what I still have to do today to the things that I have to do tomorrow and next week!
Im trying to center myself, and I feel the "Great Robber Baron...Fear"...trying to make his grand entrance...breathing was beginnning harder and harder to do.
I paused long enough to say a very short affirmation...when a sales clerk saw me, and we said the usual pleasantries of..."Hello, how are you?"...but instead of answering me back...he stops me and looks me square in the eyes, and says...
"One day at a Time...and even better one moment at a
time...please have a good day!"
With those words I was able to let out a strong breath...the kind of exhale that makes you stop for moment...
I slowed my pace.
So what say you...when anxiety and life are trying to have their way with you..
are you able to remember to take life one moment at a time?
Thanks in advance and Peace!
Wow, you guys...just beautiful...I can see the sun again...Much, Much Love to All of you!
Love is all there is...THERE you are!! I was about to send out the rescue dogs...LOL...of course I'll add you...missed you honey...(((Deby)))

Something (someone, in this case) caught your "attention," diverting you from the runaway entrainment to anxiety that is all too easy for any one of us to fall into. The interesting thing, to me, is that there are an abundance of reminders around us all of the time, vying for our "attention," to remind us of who we really are...enspirited physical beings. If we look for them, we cannot miss them...synchronicities that rise up either in our face or on the periphery of our noticing. We are being guided and supported in every moment to express Divine Purpose, but most of us are unaware, trapped in the superficialities of our lives. It is the "STOP," look, and listen that bring us back to Reality, the Reality we were intended to live. My friend refers to these moments of sudden STOP as Zen slaps...they stop the breath and the mind and bring us to an awakening in that moment. It is the unexpected, the anomaly, that draws our attention and returns us to our true nature, taking us out of our mundane habits. Zen slaps, angels, synchronicities...call them what you will, they bring Aha! moments and allow the light to shine through us once again. Armed with awareness, we can then look and listen for deeper levels at which to live our lives...with focus, intention, and clarity. And ain't it grand...we're all in this together (you, me, and the random clerk who sees into us, for he is us).

I recently had the "thought" given to me to see everything as "Peace". Now I look at everything happening around me, "good" or "bad" and see the peace in it. So instead of feeling any anxiety, I can now feel peace, no matter what.
It is in everything there is, we just don't see it sometimes. We make these judgements that it is something else that it is not.
It is all a matter of perspective, how we see everything, not how it appears to be. The Masters all know this. That is why they are not flustered or hurt when things are happening around them that we would normally see as stressful.
So, Peace, it was one Angel meeting another, maybe even another "you" .
LOVE, Peace and Light,

Acceptance is the answer to all my problems today. When I am disturbed, it is because I find some person, place, thing or situation - some fact of my life - unacceptable to me, and I can find no serenity until I accept that person, place, thing or situation as being exactly the way it is at this moment.
I need to concentrate not so much on what needs to be changed in the world as on what needs to be changed in me and in my attitudes.

beautiful story, an angel sent to you that day!
yes, one moment at a time. once one is rooted in this, then even the mind travelling can be enjoyed, and not be taken too seriously anymore. now. only now. just now. that is all there is and all there ever will be.

(((((((((((((((Mommy))))))))))))))) Very very important point you mention there. My life was difficult but now that i look back, I made it difficult. You see, my worries and anticipations made no difference to anything. I take things as they come now. I am happy, faithful and positive about every single thing. Above all, I am extremely happy and in awe to run into people like yourselves. All my friends here are such God's blessings. With more of you coming, I dont thing we need to rely on angels anymore...*wink*

I think that clerk was your angel! What better advice than to breathe and to take it one moment at a time? I can't think of any.

Isn't it wonderful to receive those moments of grace. Isn't it easy to get tied up into our day to day life and forget to return to the present? The present is free and joy and inner peace is its freedom song.
nice share.
thank you!

Absolutely!
A grand question to ask yourself is... How much is there really ever to do in a single moment?
