Do I need to wear high heels to parties?

Try kitten heels instead they are only about an inch or inch & and half and very easy to walk in. They look cute with dresses without the pain of high heels. You can wear flats but they don't look as glam!

yeah, it all depends on how casual or dressy the sweet sixteen is, if you are going to be wearing a dress that is really dressy i suggest you wear heels and just practice walking around in the house!

if it is a beachy casual thing or even a slightly dressy thing try some flashy cute flats, you can basically wear flats with anything, just dont end up wearing some flip-flops to some dressy event, haha =]

There is nothing wrong with wearing high heels if you are a tall girl. Considering no matter what you do, you will generally attract attention to yourself, and if you wear even the slightest heels you will tower above everyone else, more or less. I say, go ahead and wear those heels, if you wish.

Try on some high heels, look in the mirror and see if you like your look in them. If yes, buy a pair of heels, but with a not too high heel, I think a style with 2,5-3" would be best. Get used to them before you wear them for a party or for longer time. If you like this you can get real high heels styles.

If you dont like your look in them wear flat ones which you like.

I would wear flats, I personally don't like wearing heels, unless I'm just in a weird mood, but flats would probably look good depending on the outfit.

If you don't feel comfortable and get blisters like me, then don't wear it. When it comes down to clothes and shoes, you should always choose what makes you feel most comfortable in. But if you really want to try, you can wear heels to the event and when you're dancing you can take it off. Girls usually takes their heels off when dancing so you'll be fine. But if you're feeling fine with the heels on, then go for it! Have fun and experience it so you don't have to wonder whether you should or not. There are plenty of cute shoes with low or flat heels. If you are afraid to wear regular heels, try some wedgies, they are so much easier to walk in.
