What would happen if a U.K. Prime minister called "Hero" a man condemned for murder?
That's what Berlusconi did a few days ago...
I'm italian and Berlusconi is our "new"(Third time in 14 years) prime minister; a few days ago he called "Hero" a man condemned for murder(Mafia) "Vittorio Mangano", because he didn't "Speak" about Berlusconi.
Berlusconi has been processed a lot of time in his political carrier, and he's been accused also for connection with mafia, exactly with Vittorio Mangano and other people....
What would happen if a U.K. Prime minister said something like that?
Nonetheless half of my country see him like a "saver"...the other half see him like a dirty criminal

I feel really bad for right-minded Italians like yourself. I have to say I rolled my eyes when I heard that Berlusconi had been elected yet again. Either the Italian electorate are exceptionally gullible, or the system has been totally corrupted.
I suppose the equivalent in the UK would be Gordon Brown equating the Kray twins to lovable rogues. Of course no politician who valued their career would touch organised crime with a barge-pole.

We, in the UK had our Deputy Prime minister John Prescott, shaking hands with Robert Magabe, a couple of years ago.
We had our Prime Minster Tony Blair licking the IRAs boots, to get the Good Friday Agreement.
We have more than our fair share of international criminals, (terrorists) who cannot be sent back to their own country, because they claim (their human rights would be abused.)
We have Lord Longford and his type, wanting fairer treatment for child killers.
It's not just Italy that have nutters.

At least he was brave enough to kick out the immigrants that set up in your country who had criminal records or no income, I don't agree with all his politics but think he got the votes he did due to policies like that.
His hands are dirty but then what Politician are clean.

Happens all the time. We have to put up with some Americans calling the IRA "heroes" when they have slaughtered innocent men women and children in the UK over their political grievances.
