My computer won't power on. Can anyone tell me what the problem might be?
I was online, then logged off and decided that I would Shut down the pc to save some electricity. The next day, when I hit the power 'on' button on the front, nothing happens. I have checked connections, etc.
Any ideas on what is wrong, and how much it might cost to repair?
It figures: I turned it off to save maybe 5 cents of electricity, and it will probably cost $$$ to get it fixed!

Check the power switch on the pack of the computer. It is usually near the top of a tower PC. Its on the back of the power supply. Not sure how it could have gotten turned off, but you never know what happened while your were powered down.
Anyway, the front power button will not turn on thecomputer if the power supply is turned off.
Hope this helps and save those precious $$. :)

since you dont seem to computer savy i wouldn't suggest opening it up but you should take it somewhere or ask someone who knows what they are doing to check and see if your power supply is working properly if at all or if something came loose in the tower did u recently move the computer or anything?
