Static on phone after being dropped in water?
I dropped my phone, a Sony Ericsson s500i. it's like the at&t walkman slider. I dropped in the water, and I didn't know that you shouldn't put the battery back in and power it on before it dries. So, after I let a dry for about two and a half days, I powered it up again. everything is working fine,k except for when I call. I get rings, but there is also static, and the receiver of the call gets static too. Does anyone know what might be wrong with it, and if it can be fixed?

You are lucky that it works at all. If it could be fixed it would be really expensive as you would have to ship it back to the manufacturer and have it repaired and shipped back to you (all at your expense). Warranty will no longer cover it as it has liquid damage and the indicator in the phone will show that (that is why it is there). If you have insurance that would be your best bet. If not, use it until it quits and then replace it.

it sounds like you dropped it in water and you are lucky it works at all... there are local repair shops here... as well as sending it back to the manufacturer
