AMD is a better budget processor gives more price/performance but Intel makes the faster processor. If your not doing anything intensive, just basic tasks you can go ahead and go with the first one. I'm a gamer, I support AMD because its not as far behind Intel in terms of gaming performance(most systems are limited by the GPU anyhow) but it gives a lot more performance for price and I'm an avid overclocker. The BE series is perfect for me although Intel charges and fortune to get an unlocked multiplier.
