This is amazing! Just go on the Youtube category on Y!A and scroll down, there are like hundreds of questions all asking the same question: Is youtube down?

to answer your question: Yes, it is down, for maintenance because of the new Youtube Beta. It should be back in a few hours, no fuss, you could try watching google videos in the meantime.

I don't think it is maintenance - when this happens they have an error page. This looks more like a nameserver is not being recognized by the network.

This has happened in the past for as long as 2 hours. Don't worry soon all will be able to see tons of kids dancing to Soulja Boy and read the racist comments that go along with the videos
