Yes this is expensive you can fill them out yourself for free. You can call USCIS call them and ask what supporting documents such as W2's etc you need and they will tell you.

These lawyers are high and will bend you over if you let them. Your fees for this with Immigration are going to run into the thousands of dollars already. If you feel you have to have someone help you; search for some Visa agency close to you online and have them look over what you have for a few hundred dollars.

There is no magic bullet either your application is in order or it is not. No immigration lawyer is even allowed under current law to do much. They are massive con artists though.
