Would my stimulus payment be Direct deposited If I used turbotax and had them process the fees?
Turbo tax offers a service which allows you to pay the fees do to them by using your actual return. I believe that the return in then deposited in their account and then deposited into my bank account. Does the irs still count this as direct deposit or will we get the payment in the mail?

No, you'll get a paper check. For the fees to be taken out, your refund was sent by the IRS to the preparer, then they took out your fees and deposited the rest to your account. The IRS had THEIR account info, not yours, so can't very well deposit your rebate to your account when they don't know what it is. So you'll get a paper check in the mail.

Did you use a tax preparation service or e-file? Did you have them take their fees from your refund? If so..you will get a paper check because a 3rd party bank was involved.

My husband's social ends in 02 and we still didn't get our rebate. We used HR BLOCK, which is a third party. So, the IRS DOES NOT HAVE OUR ACCT. NO. therefore, ours should be mailed. Hopefully! ??? :)

There are others on here that say, no, you'll receive it via a paper check; however, I have yet to actually find this on any of the appropriate websites. If anyone can provide where they found that information that'd be greatly apprecieated. Thanks.
