In looking over the answers here, it appears that Yahoo! terminated or closed his account for a Terms of Service violation. I looked up the Terms of Service, and there's nothing there that appears applicable except for this:
"You agree to not use the Service to:
upload, post, email or otherwise transmit any Content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, sexually, ethnically or otherwise objectionable or vilifying;"
I then went to Google and checked his (now deleted by Yahoo!) cached profile, since I know his answers didn't do any of these things. In his profile, he links to his ModelMayhem profile. His Model Mayhem profile (and indeed the MM site itself) could be construed as "sexually objectionable."
All it would take would be for a youngster to click on the link and to have a parent come in and observe the photos on the screen from the MM site and then file a complaint. Yahoo! is known for being quite careful about such content and generally will err on the side of extreme caution.
Unfortunately, such account terminations are almost impossible to overcome, especially since no reason is ever given by Yahoo! for the closures. I know of many orphaned Yahoo! groups because of account terminations.
Hence, this is why I do not post links in my profile to my own photos, nor do I provide links in my answers to my own photos. There are too many people with different tastes as to what is acceptable.

He is smart and factual and knows his stuff. Some troll (s) evidently couldn't stand that, and used their tiny little power to have him kicked. Shame on them, and shame on YA for not getting it corrected yet. I still hope YA will re-instate Fhotoace, but if he refused to contribute again I wouldn't blame him. It will be our loss, and many others here who ask questions and want a real answer.

He was trolled. It happened to me over a year ago. David got a letter from Yahoo! Customer "Care" which reads:

Thank you for writing to Yahoo! Answers.
We appreciate your inquiry about your suspension from Yahoo! Answers and/or the deactivation of your Yahoo! ID. We reviewed your case, and decided that your account is not eligible for reinstatement.
Once an account is disabled for a violation of the Terms of Service, the subscriber to the account will lose the ability to log in and access the account and its contents (including email and content stored with any other Yahoo! service). The account also will not be reactivated.

How very sad. None of us gets paid to spend our free time contributing to YA and he did not deserve whatever happened to him.

fhototace did nothing wrong, he was "trolled"...
EDIT: he did nothing except answer questions the same way any of us would, honestly simply and from experience.
