Art buffs, what would a 19-1/2" x 26-1/2" watercolor painted by Aston Knight be worth (ball park)?
It's absolutely beautiful- romantic scene of Springtime with
trees in blossom, sky reflections over a river and a boy
on the shore courting a girl sitting on a french cart. I don't
think Aston Knight painted many people. His father, :Louis
Aston Knight did. It has much the same feel as LAK's.
Would appreciate any info.

Hi! Here are some auctions results for him
which include several watercolors. I do have a
bit of confusion about the description though.
Louis Aston Knight did landscapes and his father,
Daniel Ridgeway Knight, was known for his wonderful
people in everyday settings.
Quote:
They (father and son) reached an informal understanding:
Ridgeway Knight always introduced one or more
figures in his landscapes, whereas Aston Knight
never placed figures in his scenes.

You might want to contact the gallery below
as they're compiling a Catalogue Raisonné on the
father and have sold many paintings
by the son.
I hope this helps and wish you good luck!
