Sara was indigent when her brother teased her about her freckles.

An expert has a right to be rumunerated for professional advice.

Judge Nelson strongly believed in the equity of all persons before the law.

As the war dragged on, the need for civilian austerity increased.

    First one does not; "indigent" should be "indignant".

    Second one, "rumunerated" is misspelled, but yeah it makes sense.

    Third one is fine.

    Fourth one would be better if it was "economic austerity" because "civilian austerity" is kind of awkward.

    I think, perhaps, your assignment is for you to select the wrong word in each sentence and provide the correct word. Good assignment. There's an error in each sentence -- I used to assign sentences like this to my students all the time; they hated them, too.
