A stalemate, with both saids at nearly the same positions and border lines as before the war began.

Also, technically, North and South Korea are still at war with one another, since only a cease-fire emerged but no "official" end to the war.

A ceasefire in place in 1953 with continuous negotiations between the UN Command of the Peace Enforcement Mission, the South Koreans, North Koreans and the Chinese at a place called Panmunjon, located on the border between the two Koreas.

The Korean War hasn't ended. It's only in armistice status (since 1953) so the outcome is yet to be determined.

It was a draw....divide the country and call it quits......hence North and South Korea....
