Certain wood poisonous to pets?
I want to make some natural looking cat scratchers and trees for my cats with wood that we found on a plot being clear-cut for construction. One has that distinctive christmas tree smell and I am still trying to identify the other two before letting my cat-kids near them. Does anyone know any good sites for tree identification and also what types of tree bark/wood is poisonous? I have looked at the aspca toxic plant list but it tends to be predominantley house or garden plants and not trees. Any help would be great...thanks!
