Why does everbody think that Floyd Mayweather is such a great fighter.?

Yeah, I definately agree with you. The win over Oscar was extremely questionable. I personally think that he's overhyped and that Cotto would murder him. I guess the reason that he's considered a great fighter is because so many people wish they were like him.

Mayweather needs to fight Cotto. But if you don't think that Mayweather is a great fighter then you don't know boxing very well. He has won titles in 5 different weight classes, never lost a fight, and the De La Hoya fight wasn't even close. How many weight classes did Ali win titles in? How many losses did Holyfield have? How about Tommy Hearnes? These are all great fighters and Mayweather has accomplished things that none of them have. He may be a conceited jerk but he's the best boxer I've ever seen.

They think he's great because he's 39-0 if you read boxing magazines or look at ESPN they all rate him number one pound for pound. He did beat Oscar & beat him easily, he KO'd Ricky Hatton, what about a young undefeated Diego Corales. It's funny that he beats everyone put in front of him & then someone comes along & says he's beaten no one. Everyone thought he would lose to Caros Baldomeyer he's too big & strong & Floyd won every round or what about Zab Judah who's qucker & he beat Zab so bad he had to foul Floyd & try to get him DQ'd. The only fight out there for Floyd is Miguel Cotto & he is too fast & too skilled for Miguel & will win that easily & everyone will say the same thing well he fought no one. Floyd is the best fighter of the last 10 years.

Cause he is great. He's the best skilled fighter 2day. And people like MMA cause they like seeing people beat the living crap out of each other. Mayweather is a pure boxer, someone with skill and speed instead of power which is why people dont like them, cause some people just want people to beat the crap out of each other. That kind of mentality urts the sport. Pacquiao would get muredered, and Cotto is good.. but if u dont consider Mayweather beating anyone good, the same could be said about Cotto. Other than a past-prime Mosley, who else has he beaten?

I hate Mayweather (though I am a former fan) because of his attitude and the fighting style he adopted after he moved up to welterweight. But even though I'm a hater I still know a good boxer when I see one. He is the best p4p easily.

I can't stand listening to people that say someone is a bad fighter just because they don't like them. It makes them sound ignorant. It's obvious you have no idea what your talking about if you think he needs to beat little junior lightweight Manny Pacquiao to be considered best p4p.

JUlio Ceasar Chavez jr. Is 36-0 im not gonna consider him great and niether will i do that for Mayweather he some one who has picked popular named oppenents more then competitve ones. Genaro hernandez and jesus chavez are not impressive wins and when he fought Diego Corrales and Ricky Hatton they had both came in weight for the first time. He then fought a over the hill DLH who was competive through the whole fight and depending and who you ask Castillo won the first fight between them hes also avoided fights with Mosley, Winky, Margarito, and Cotto.

He doesn't seem like a great fighter to you, because you dont know **** about boxing. You want him to fight Pacquio? They are like 3 weight classes apart, that would never happen. What, do you want him to fight Klitchsco too?

You know mayweather is that kid in school that hits you in the back of the head and when you turn around to fight him he runs away and your like "damm, one day watch! i'm gonna catch that kid!" he's a joke. lets just awared him 30 more wins in hopes that he retires, its track and field guys like him that are killing the sport. People pay to see a fight not a boxing/running match... and you wounder why mma is growing so fast, cause even if there was no talent in the sport like some boxers say, at least they go there to fight, everytime!
